Dr. Payam Sheikhattari
is an Assistant Professor at the Morgan State University School
of Public Health and Policy since 2005. He has MD and MPH from Uromia
and Tehran Universities in Iran with several years of experience
working with national and provincial level community based health
projects. He has collaborated with global organizations such as
International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), United Nations
Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA), United Nations Children's
Fund (UNICEF), and World Health Organization (WHO) as well as Iranian
public health system and NGOs. He continued his research at the
Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health from 2003 to 2005
as a postdoctoral fellow. His primary focus is on community based
participatory research, risk communication, reproductive health,
and gender based violence.
