MISSION
The Morgan State University School of Community Health and Policy (MSU-SPHP) will prepare leaders who will generate and disseminate new scientific information designed to help all to better understand urban health problems, develop effective programs, and advocate for policies that enable underserved populations to attain optimal health. To achieve this mission, MSU-SPHP will train public health practitioners to employ community-based participatory research methods to assess and reveal the systemic inequities and inadequacies that contribute to health disparities; and to design, implement, and evaluate solutions. The School is dedicated to educating policy makers, researchers, and practitioners who will contribute to the ethical practice of public health grounded in the fundamental principles of cultural, environmental, and social justice. |
