Ivis T. Forrester-Anderson,
Ph.D., RD, LD, Associate
Professor and Program Director; BS, Tuskegee University; MS, Tuskegee
University; Ph.D., University of Missouri-Columbia; RD, Winthrop
University. She is the Director of the Nutritional Science Program
at MSU SPHP, has over sixteen years of experience teaching food
and nutrition. She has experience operating food testing and analysis
instruments and has been involved in value-added product development
and research exploring the health and nutritional value of "non-traditional'
foods such as rabbit and goat meat, shiitake mushroom, and amaranth.
Areas of research interest and involvement: Maternal and child nutrition
(emphasis on breastfeeding), nutrition education, prostate cancer,
dietary related chronic diseases, and value-added product development.
