Department of Public Health Analysis
The Department of Public Health Analysis aims at increasing the number of trained professionals in public health research methods so they can lead teams and contribute to the development of knowledge and methods for the study and identification of the scope and distribution of public health problems, their causes, mechanisms, solutions, and evaluation of interventions, and who represent and work with the most affected populations, thereby improving health outcomes and reducing health disparities.
The Department has a small but enthusiastic faculty body. Yet, the Department is responsible for all of the courses related to Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Research Methods, and Data Analyses that are offered by the School of Public Health and Policy.
The Department's plan includes augmenting its faculty body and its research portfolio with a focus upon the development and application of research methods on health disparities, substance use and mental health, as well as reproductive health.
