Cynthia A. Tucker
received her B.S. and M.B.A. from Morgan State University and her
Doctoral degree in Nutritional Sciences from Howard University.
She is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian with a Doctor of Philosophy
in Nutritional Sciences and a Masters in Business Administration.
She has diversified experiences as a Dietitian/Nutritionist with
over 18 years with accomplishments in the areas of Nutrition, Food
Service Management, Catering, Design and Layout, Auditing and Consulting.
In 1985, she attended the Advanced Culinary Arts Program at the
Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, New York where she received
a certificate of completion. Upon completion of the program at the
Culinary Institute, she ventured into the entrepreneurial arena
and established her own food service management company. For 10
years, the company provided contract meals to Child and Adult Day
Care facilities and to Head Start programs located in Baltimore,
Maryland and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Currently, Dr. Tucker is
an Assistant Professor at Morgan State University in the School
of Public Health and Policy, Nutritional Sciences Program. Her research
interest is focus on breast cancer and obesity in underserved communities.
